About Us
Simon Page is the founder and resident DJ of [socialise] as well as the long running, but now expired, Essex based party called JuicyFunk. Simon has previously held long term residencies on FORCE FM and VISION FM. Currently, Simon presents [socialise] every Saturday afternoon on the respected London based radio station HOUSE FM.
Along with his two good friends James Reading and Richy Hicks, Simon began promoting with a series of successful one-off parties known as JuicyFunk, instantly recognisable for their loud flyer campaign that mimicked the ever famous Wrigley’s chewing gum packaging. Growing with each new party and gathering a loyal following JuicyFunk settled into a regular residency at the Essex based venue Pacific Edge.
"Initially, in 2004 I took on a joint promotion with an outside promoter at Pacific Edge and actually showed them up by packing out the venue with a bigger crowd even though we were hosting the bar room on a notoriously quiet night, proving how serious a promotion we were. Pacific Edge's manager Brad Milo had enough confidence in me to offer us the whole club on a regular basis and I never let him down in all our time working together. Pacific Edge was without doubt one of the most consistent house clubs in Essex and we were their favourite outside promotion, which makes us very proud."
[socialise] concentrates on the underground side of house music with most of our parties featuring in and around central London at some of our favourite venues such as Turnmills, Anexo Bar, Edge, Cosmo Bar, Epicurean Lounge, Public Life, Charterhouse and Tabernacle. Meanwhile, James and Richy have departed to concentrate their efforts on the successful ‘House of Lords’ party which features prominently at the Tabernacle Bar & Grill in London’s city area every month. Together with his closest friends, Simon has brought a touch of humour and lashings of fun to the parties he promotes, from his humble beginnings with a one-off party called Underground Pressure at Legends nightclub in Barking, via a residency at Pacific Edge where the JuicyFunk brand was born and now [socialise].
“I am looking to continue working with established London based venues, exposing my [socialise] ethos to a whole new crowd of up for it party goers. I already have the web-site and radio show to act as a base for people to get in touch and find out where the next party is and it’s evolving all the time."
The newest addition to the [socialise] cannon has been Rob Stringer, after a chance meeting through a mutual friend, who’s enthusiasm and love for house music is on par with everything the party stands for. Rob has a similar outlook to Simon when it comes to music and buying records, so they instantly clicked. Recently Rob has accepted co-hosting duties on the regular [socialise] radio show on House FM, which we think will help make an engaging combination for our listeners.
